Continued development of core social-emotional and higher-order thinking skills in a high-quality, play-based environment Students can sign up for one or both sessions and will explore different science and social studies topics each week. They will garden daily and enjoy water play in addition to typical preschool activities.

To support learning and exploration while preparing for the upcoming school year. Students in K-5 are invited to grow academically and socio-emotionally, explore new interests, connect with peers and continue to build a healthy self identity during summer programming. Through teamwork, we will engage in challenges, fun, and learning to grow our brains and hearts. Englewood Schools is committed to supporting all students, including those who are unhoused, Multilingual Learners, and others who may benefit from extra resources. This initiative is one of the many ways we intentionally provide additional support to help students thrive and continue learning over the summer.

Career Pathway Summer Program
Career Pathway Summer Program
The Career Pathway Summer Program is for students currently in grades 6-8 (in the 2024-25 school year) to explore the robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offered at Englewood High School and Colorado's Finest High School of Choice. The program will offer students a hands-on introduction to various STEAM fields and CTE programs.
The Career Pathway Summer Program will be designed to:
* expose students to a variety of CTE pathways and courses offered at our high schools
* help students explore and develop interests
* develop foundational skills that students can continue to build in high school
* help students make connections between future interests and academic choices and achievement
* build awareness of postsecondary options
WHO: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students (in the 2024-2025 school year)
WHEN: May 29 - June 6, 2025
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

TRANSPORTATION: Englewood Schools will provide transportation for this program. A more detailed pickup and drop off schedule will be provided as soon as those details are worked out.
The Career Pathway Summer Program will offer students a hands-on introduction to various fields and CTE programs including audio/music production, broadcasting and video production, cosmetology, culinary arts, engineering, and urban agriculture/sustainable agriculture and green energy. Application deadline is May 9, 2025.

Breakthrough is an intensive six-week daily summer program that provides rigorous instruction in math, language arts, and science. There is a strong focus on leadership, team building, financial literacy, mental health, and the arts.

WHO: Girls entering the 8th, 9th, or 10th grade (in the 2024-2025 school year) who are interested in pursuing future careers in the STEM fields

WHERE: CSU Spur Campus, Hydro Building 4777 National Western Drive, Denver, CO 80216.
COST: Free
This free one-week camp is designed for girls entering 8th, 9th or 10th grade (in the 2025-2026 school year) to spark their interest in pursuing future careers in the STEM fields. Participants take part in a variety of educational coding games and activities led by experienced female software developers. Camp Code introduces participants to a variety of women in technology and explores the diverse opportunities available to women who code.

Summer Science Institute
Middle school students (incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th in the 2025-26 school year) have the opportunity to explore fun applications
of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an exciting, hands-on, team-oriented atmosphere on the Auraria Campus. Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty will teach classes and prepare students in STEM concepts. This is a two-week, half-day program.

High School Credit Recovery and Acceleration
WHO: High school students who want to catch-up or get ahead
WHEN: Tuesday, May 29 - Friday, June 13, 2025 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Online or at Englewood High School (3800 S. Logan St. Englewood, CO 80113)
COST: $50 per credit recovery course. Free for all credit acceleration courses.
Programs will be delivered both in-person and online - families can choose the delivery option that works best for their student. Successful completion of the summer program will allow students the opportunity to receive credit for a class - either recovering credit from a previously failed class or taking a class for the first time. Students may take one course at a time - should they complete a course by June 7, they will have the opportunity to take another core class. All coursework must be completed by 1:00 p.m. on June 14 to receive credit.

College Exploration and Preparation Workshops
Feeling overwhelmed by the college process? You're not alone! Let experts in the college admission field help reduce your stress with two FREE upcoming college exploration and preparation workshops. These workshops will guide EHS and CFHSC juniors and seniors through every step of the exploration, selection, and application processes.
WORKSHOP 1: College 101/College Tours Camp
Students will gain a deep understanding of the college exploration and selection process while visiting four different college campuses. Topics covered include: understanding college fit, how to build solid college list and learning about options for paying for college.
Who: Juniors and seniors in 2025-26
Dates: May 29 - June 4, 2025
Times: 8:30 - 3:30; times may vary based on the college visit location.

Transportation: Englewood Schools will provide transportation for this program. A more detailed pickup and drop off schedule will be provided closer to the start of the program.

Program Format: Students will arrive at Englewood High School each morning where they will participate in College Preparation Curriculum including determining best fit, financial aid, application process and timeline, requesting letters of recommendation, and college essay practice. After students engage in the curriculum, the group will be picked up by a bus to travel to the college campus that is scheduled for the day. Once the group arrives at the college, they will participate in a group tour and presentation by the college. Lunch will either be provided at the college or at a location near the college. Details on meals will be communicated as this event approaches.

WORKSHOP #2: Common Application Camp
EHS and CFHSC seniors will do a deep dive into every aspect of the Common Application. The Common Application (Common App) is an application that is accepted by more than 800 colleges and universities in the United States and several international schools. With one application, one main essay, and possible supplemental essays, seniors can apply to multiple schools. Topics in this workshop include: creating a Common App account, reviewing all sections of the Common App, how to write your college essay, how to showcase your talents, skills, and achievements, how to request a letter of recommendation, and how to manage application timelines.
Who: Seniors in 2025-26
Dates: Two days in early August before school starts. Specific dates TBD

Colorado Health Careers Academy
Explore the fastest growing health occupations in Colorado: Nursing, Medical Assistant, Medical Lab Technician, Patient Care Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiology Technologist, Sonography Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, and Surgical Technical. Learn about postsecondary certification pathways and career navigation. Get hands-on and virtual job shadow experience. Earn entry-level credentials in Basic Life Support, CPR, and HIPPA.
