Arapahoe County School District Number One (Englewood Schools)
Formed in 1916, Englewood Schools spans approximately 6.89 square miles within the City of Englewood, Colorado. Our dedicated educators and staff provide high-quality instruction and support services to approximately 2,400 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Englewood Schools operates one preschool, four elementary schools, one middle school, and two high school campuses, including a high school of choice. Beyond core and special education services, the District provides diverse academic pathways including Full-Day Kindergarten, an International Baccalaureate (IB) program, Gifted and Talented support, and a district-wide STEAM focus. Additionally, students can access comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs featuring pathways in Cosmetology & Barbering, Sustainable Agriculture and Green Energy (S.A.G.E), Biomedical Sciences, Behavioral Health, Culinary Arts & Hospitality, Business & Marketing, Digital Media & Audio Production, and Engineering & Robotics.
District Governance & Accountability
The District Accountability Committee (DAC) meets at a minimum of four times per year, serving as a vital link between the local community and the District. The DAC brings community perspective to budget priorities and communicates these structured recommendations directly to the Englewood Schools Board of Education. In addition to fiscal alignment, the DAC regularly reviews and makes recommendations concerning student academic performance and continuous program improvements.
