Our District

teacher and graduate

In Englewood Schools, we believe that building real relationships opens the door to remarkable results. That's why we get to know our students as learners and as people. Every day, we work in partnership with families to understand each child's gifts and needs, so we can help all students grow and succeed. And with the support of our community, our schools - and our city - are on the rise.

Big Opportunities, Small Schools

Everyone says Englewood is like a small town in the big city, and that’s especially true in our schools. With neighborhood schools and low student-to-teacher ratios, our school communities feel small in the very best way — close and caring, like families. At the same time, our students benefit from access to advanced technology, a wide array of academic and extracurricular opportunities, and teachers who are at the top of their class.

Get to Know, Set to Grow

Personal relationships do more than help kids feel welcome. In Englewood Schools, our teachers truly understand each learner’s unique needs, and go above and beyond to provide the specialized academic and whole-child supports each child needs to thrive.

Early-Child Excellence

Our students' growth as individuals can be experienced throughout our elementary schools. Our state-of-the art preschool center prepares students for success in kindergarten and beyond, where academic growth outshines that of neighboring districts such as Cherry Creek, Denver and Littleton.

  • As measured by the Colorado Department of Education, our elementary schools' academic growth - which tracks how much progress students make from one year to the next - was rated at 73.2%
  • Looking at the same measure, Cherry Creek hit 53.6%, Denver reached 69.6% and Littleton achieved 61.6%
  • Academic achievement - which is a "snapshot" measure of how well students meet math and literacy benchmarks - was rated at 63.1% for Englewood, 58.6& for Cherry Creek, 64.6% for Denver and 65.9% for Littleton
  • While schools won't be rated by the state of Colorado for the 2019-20 academic year, Englewood Schools has been commended by the Colorado Department of Education for the quality of our remote learning.
