Is the Biomedical Science Pathway Right for Me?
Offered at Englewood High School, the Biomedical Science pathway is a strong fit for students interested in the field of medicine or who would like to learn about life science. Students will explore a variety of careers in Biomedical Science, Health and Medical Services, and Biomedical Engineering. Students in the Biomedical Science pathway will participate in field experiences and learn from experts. Students will explore the roles of biomedical professionals while studying the concepts of human medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology, and public health.
The Biomedical Science pathway prepares students to earn industry credentials required in the high skill, high demand, high paying careers of the healthcare industry. Students will examine structures and interactions of human body systems and explore the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases while working collaboratively to understand and design solutions to pressing health challenges.
