Online Learning

Englewood Schools does not offer a fully remote, online school.  For more information and a list of online schools, please visit the Colorado Department of Education.

Englewood Schools offers a variety of online courses that help high school students accelerate course completion or recover credits needed for graduation. These classes are offered as part of a traditional, in-person high school schedule. 

Credit acceleration allows students to take online courses that do not fit into their high school schedules or are not offered at their schools. These courses are offered through the online learning platform Edgenuity. The workload of online courses is demanding and requires diligence and commitment from students. High school staff supervise students to support their online learning experience.

Credit recovery allows students who failed high school courses to recover the credits required for graduation. These courses are offered via the online learning platform Edgenuity and are available during the regular school year and during designated summer programs.

Special Circumstances:

Students who require fully remote online learning must be pre-approved and meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• The student is approved for home-bound instruction.
• The student is serving an expulsion.
• The student is involved in a criminal investigation involving city or county law enforcement agencies.
• The student is approved to participate in a remote high school equivalency diploma program.
