Course Description: Learn to interpret data and trends in the world around you! Statistical reasoning is an essential part of every career, including medicine, education, STEM fields, business, marketing, sports, and many more. MAT 1260 will introduce you to descriptive and inferential statistics, emphasizing critical thinking and data literacy. This course utilizes real-world data, as well as data you'll collect yourself, to illustrate statistical applications of a practical nature.
Prerequisite: HS GPA of 3.0+; or HS GPA of 2.6 – 2.99 and a B or better in a previous Math class; or Accuplacer QAS: 240+ or Accuplacer: AAF 245+; or PSAT/SAT Math 500+
