At its February 1 meeting, the Englewood Schools Board of Education decided to continue with universal masking in our schools. The Board will revisit this issue again at the March 1, 2022 regular meeting.

At the February 1 meeting, the Board heard from many community members who felt passionately both about keeping masks and about making them optional. The Board is grateful to the community members who took time to speak at the meeting.

Given that COVID cases remain very high in our area and the Board wants our classrooms to remain open and safe for students and staff members, the Board has directed the district to keep universal masking for now and will reevaluate the situation in one month.
