UNIVERSAL FREE LUNCHES HAVE EXPIRED
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, lunches have been free for all students for the past two school years due to funding from the federal government. The program has expired, which means lunches are no longer automatically free, except for preschool students. Lunch is now $3.50 for elementary students and $3.75 for middle and high school students. Breakfast will still be free and available to all Englewood students. To qualify for free or reduced price lunches, families will need to fill out a free or reduced price lunch application through the Infinite Campus parent portal. (After logging in to Infinite Campus, select "More" and then "Meal Benefits".)

Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Families must apply for meal benefits (free or reduced-price lunch) each year to ensure your student receives free or reduced-price meals and waived fees. Please see our Letter to Households, which has detailed information and common questions and answers regarding the application for free and reduced price lunch.

Lunch Charge Policy
It is important to us that we feed every student every day. Therefore, we want to remind families that students must have enough money in their account or cash with them to buy a full-price or reduced-price meal.

Students in grades K-6 may charge their account up to three (3) meals after they hit a "zero balance". After they have received the three (3) meals, they will then get up to 10 "Bistro" meals at no cost until they have more money placed in their account. Bistro meals consist of a grain, a protein, fresh fruit or vegetables, milk or water and access to the salad bar. Students in grades 7-12 cannot charge meals, but will receive up to 10 Bistro meals until they have more money in their account or cash in hand to purchase a meal.
