Help Select Our New Mission & Vision Statements
Based on conversations with staff members and parents across the district, the statements in the link below are representative of what many have described to be the mission and vision of Englewood Schools. Now, we would like your feedback on which vision statement and which mission statement Englewood Schools should adopt for the future. (Note: A vision statement expresses an organization's optimal goal and aspiration, while a mission statement provides an overview of the group's plans to realize that vision.)
Englewood Educators and the District’s bargaining teams met together on March 31, 2016 for their second session. The Teams had a budget workshop with Sosan Schaller, the Director of Finance. The Teams continued dialogue and collaborative efforts to clarify the meaning of individual planning time, collaborative planning time and data team time.
The next session for the Teams will be on April 21, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Crisis Text Services Now Offered

help before, during or after a crisis. Anyone can text the word TALK to 38255 anytime, from anywhere in Colorado about any type of crisis.
Englewood Schools has been a Google Apps for Education District for a number of years now. But we have a number of new staff and others who need some professional development on how to use Google apps for teaching and learning. This series is focused on teacher use of Google Apps with students. Nonetheless, all staff are welcome to participate. These are hands-on classes so bring your laptops/iPads. Relicensure credit will be offered for each session except June's. These are optional sessions. Attend as few or as many as you need. If registered participants exceed room capacity, a second session will be scheduled.
To register for a session, just find the event on the 2015-16 District Professional Development Calendar at https://www.englewoodschools.net/Page/4188

Classified Staff Association Bowling Tournament
March 19th saw members of the Englewood Schools Classified Staff Association and guests competing in the 6th Annual Lillie-Alderidge Tournament, so named for a founding member and a dearly loved former member. The tournament continues to grow in popularity.
Competition was friendly but fierce. The Women's division saw Kimberly Venable taking top honors while the Men's division had to go into overtime to determine the outcome! William Marcy edged out Paul Hinkle for the win. It meant back to back Championships for both athletes!
