    You’re invited to join us for our  Charles Hay music concert!! 

    TITLE: “American Bandstand” 

    WHEN:  Thursday, April 27, 2017 @ 6:00 pm 

    WHERE:  Englewood High School (TEC auditorium) 

    PERFORMERS:  All Charles Hay students (grades 2-6)


    WHAT TO WEAR:  We are singing songs from the 1950’s (Poodle skirt, jeans and a white t-shirt, cardigan, scarf, leather jacket, etc)


    ***Important Information***

    On April 27th, students are to report to the TEC auditorium at 5:45 pm

    There will NOT be supervision until 5:45 pm so 

     PLEASE keep your children with you until that time.

    ** Please enjoy the entire show and pick up your children immediately following the program for refreshments in the lobby.

  • Healing Our Youth: Get Educated! 

    A wonderful opportunity for parents, teachers and youth workers to become informed about youth mental health and youth substance use. We invite you to attend this inspiring presentation and mental health resource fair. This event is free and registration is required.

    Please join us for the Healing Our Youth: Get Educated! presentation and resource fair at Accelerated Schools on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5:30pm to 9pm at Colorado's Finest High School of Choice (300 W. Chenango Ave.). This event is free, however registration is required.

    What to expect:

    • Listen to a parent's perspective on raising a child with a mental disorder
    • Learn important facts/statistics about mental disorders and the basic biology of mental disorders
    • Learn about the adolescent brain and teen substance use
    • Learn to identify unhealthy adolescent behavior
    • Learn what treatments are available for mental disorders and the steps to take to access treatment
    • Connect with experts and resources in mental health
    • Talk one-on-one with mental health professionals
    • 2 CEUs offered
    • Light refreshments included

  • Girls on the Run

    We have several spots open for Girls on the Run this season! The season will run from March 6 - May 13.  Practices are Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30.  This season, Girls on the Run is FREE for our girls!

  • Important Health Information

    The school administration would like to inform you about an increase in mumps cases in Colorado. As of February 8, there have been 27 cases of mumps in Colorado, and this number is expected to grow. In order to minimize the spread of mumps in schools, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has asked us to provide you with this information about mumps.

  • New Principal Annoucement

    Please join us in welcoming Ryan Cowell as Charles Hay World School Principal for 2017-18! Ryan is coming to Colorado from Champaign, Illinois where he currently serves as Principal at Booker T. Washington STEM Academy, K-5.  His educational experience also includes time as a Spanish Teacher, an Instructional Coach, and as an Assistant Principal. 

     Ryan will begin his work as principal beginning July 1, 2017.  He looks forward to serving families of Charles Hay World School.  His philosophy for leading a true community school is aligned with the Englewood Schools Strategic Plan and belief that all should “Belong and Thrive”.  Ryan is also excited to become a Colorado resident.  Some of his favorite childhood memories are of family vacations here.  He is looking forward to improving his fly fishing skills and enjoying an active lifestyle along with his wife and two children. 

     We are excited to have Ryan join our Charles Hay and Englewood family!

  • tax Free Tax Preparation For Englewood Schools Families and Students

    Have your taxes done by a professional to maximize your refund potential. All services are free! John Dundon, President, Taxpayer Advocacy Services, Inc. will work with families or working students in 45 minute blocks of time to teach people how to prepare their own federal and state taxes and walk through the basic tax prep for specific individuals as well as prepare basic tax returns.

  • Parent and Teacher Council Meetings 

    The first Gifted Advisory Council (GAC) meeting will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 5:00-6:00pm in the RDAB board. The Council will meet 5 times throughout the year. Meetings are scheduled for the first Thursday in December, February, April, and May. Faculty, staff, parents, and community members are welcome to attend. Contact Carrie DeWaters, Student Services Coordinator, at for more information.

    The Language Development Council (LDC) is beginning on September 14th and will meet the second Wednesday of each month from 5:00-6:00pm in the RDAB board room.   • Important Information about Immunizations

    Immunizations are an important part of our children's and the community's health. Colorado law requires students attending a public, private or parochial school to be immunized against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

    Specifically, incoming kindergarten students and sixth graders are due for vaccines before coming back to school for the 2016-2017 school year.
