ASCENT (Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment) is a 5th year program that allows high school seniors to remain enrolled at the high school and take a fifth year consisting entirely of college classes at participating colleges. The tuition for the college classes is paid by Englewood Schools.
Students who wish to participate must complete the ASCENT Intent Application and return to their school counselor by Feb. 12.
Once a student decides to fully pursue the ASCENT funding option, the ASCENT Agreement and Registration Form must be completed and submitted to their high school counselor before May 1. Prior to this happening, the student must make sure he or he has qualifying test scores and/or pre-requisites me and has 12 college credits (100 course level or higher).
